With the rapid development of economy,people’s demand for residential space is no longer a simple substance level,but more focus on spiritual needs,so the real estate market of traditional small and medium-sized door model have been unable to meet the needs of the masses.Although small and medium-sized family size is very good for the average person,but due to the limitation of the use area,it forms the disadvantages such as lack of space,insufficient storage space and poor comfort.Therefore,the developers began to think about how to improve the living experience and change the space form of small and medium-sized families,so there was the birth of the LOFT.In our country,with the rapid development of the new concept of residential LOFT,small and medium-sized LOFT residence space is more and more young people to chase after hold in both hands,LOFT residential space as a kind of unique family also appear in the real estate market.LOFT the family in addition to the rich and changeful of dimensional administrative levels,flow,the characteristics of the function is all ready,also has a convenient traffic,thus LOFT family appeared on the market,get a lot of people love.But due to late LOFT residential space development in our country,the design of the relevant theoretical research is not enough mature,most countries research comes from the early development,therefore,also the lack of suitable for China’s national conditions of the design of the theoretical basis to promote the development of residential space LOFT.In this context,first of all,this paper analyzes the characteristics of LOFT residential space by understanding the origin,development process and some important extension of LOFT space.Then,the design principles and design techniques are studied emphatically.Secondly,combined with case study to demonstrate a LOFT the maneuverability of the design strategy of residential space,and finally,also analyzes its unique charm and development prospect,this also for the future provide some theory support LOFT residential space,let the LOFT family more evident advantages,in the original personality and art in its connotation,make it an ideal pattern of development.
