Study On Risk Analysis And Management Of Port Engineering Projects Design

Compared with normal construction projects,port engineering projects have larger investment,longer construction period and their construction environment,these potential influence are all risk source.However,these risks can be identified,analyzed and managed to a large extent to ensure the smooth built and operation of the port engineering project.Port engineering design plays an important role to the success of port projects.According to the investigation and statistics data,the quality of the accident due to design reasons accounted for 40%,it determines the project cost,schedule and quality.Therefore,this thesis choose port engineering project risk as a subject to be analyzed and discussed.By using the method of literature review and expert interview,in this paper,we identified 21 risk factors of port engineering project design.Based on this,the questionnaire was design and 130 valid questionnaires were received.By using SPSS software,we got descriptive statistical analysis and exploratory factor analysis.The top five factors were "improper design scheme selection"," lack of professional design skills","improper selection of the designers","the owners' requirement change","design and construction at the same time".The result of exploratory factor analysis is that the 21 risk factors can be divided into 5 groups,respectively(1)the owners' risk,(2)the designers' risk,(3)the supervisors' risk,(4)the contractors' risk,(5)the objective risk.The results enrich the theory of port engineering project design risk system,and also,we provides the reasonable measures against risks to port engineering project design for the related parties.
