| In recent years, with China’s economy growing, culture architecture has made an increasingly remarkable development and museum and exhibition architectures,as an important part, has witnessed the development process of a country and a region. And it has also carried its glorious historical and cultural traditions. The 2010 World Expo held in Shanghai ushered in a new round of development opportunities for China’s museum and exhibition architectures. What needs to be pointed out is that there are some defects and pitfalls in the design practice for exhibition architectures, and architects in this architectural visualization era generally focus on the aspects of architectural functions and structures. At present, although many buildings have laid more emphasis on the relationship treatment between exhibition architectures and site and context, quite often the undue pursuit for visual effects weakens the connection between the exhibition architecture and site, history and culture, the interactive relationship between the exhibition architecture and visitors as well as the comprehensive experience of visitors. Therefore, the issue of how the exhibition architecture roots in the site and historical cultural background to awaken the visitors’ emotions becomes the priority. The author makes attempts to apply the relevant architectural theories of phenomenology perspective to the design for the exhibition architecture, and based on the aforementioned problem explores a series of design thoughts and methods for the exhibition architecture from the perspective of phenomenology. This paper firstly summarizes the origin and development situation of phenomenology, elaborates the connection between architecture and phenomenology and analyzes the significance of introducing phenomenology to the exhibition architecture, and then based on the two aspects of place theory and perceptual experience analyzes the guiding effects of phenomenology for the design of the exhibition architecture. In view of the practical application, this paper explores the design concepts and techniques for the exhibition architecture based onphenomenological thoughts, and analyzes the design factors influencing visitors experience and those which are easily overlooked by architects from the aspects of architectural space, details and the overall, exterior space design and so forth. In the end, combined with practical cases, this paper presents a comprehensive description with words and illustrations. |
