Study On Defense Safety Design Of Building's Outside Environment Based On Weakening Fear Of Victimization

Rapid and rough urbanization brings forth many environmental problems.Morbid material environment coupled with environmental safety problems are main factors leading to residents' fear of victimization.The fear of victimization is a psychological perception of being terrified of becoming crime victims.Through proper improvement of residential buildings' outside environment,the occurrence of criminal behaviors can be reduced and prevented to a certain extent,and residents' fear of victimization can be weakened at the psychological level,thus creating a relatively safe behavioral environment for residents.Through sorting out and analyzing domestic and foreign theories about defense safety,taking architecture as the research foundation,CPETD theory and urban“peccable” space theory as theoretical support,as well as referring to theory and research findings of other disciplines of criminology and environmental psychology,observation method and questionnaire survey method are adopted.An on-the-spot investigation about fear of victimization on open type,semi-open type and closed type residential buildings' outside environment in Changchun City is carried out.On the basis of three spatial physical attributes of spatial position,spatial form and special atmosphere,such as the accessibility,visibility,identifiability,territoriality,positivity and the nature of imagery of space about defense security related factors are analyzed,while environmental elements of residential buildings' outside environments with different degree of openness which will influence residents' fear of victimization are summarized,thus defense safety design strategies to weaken residents' fear of victimization in terms of open type,semi-open type and closed type residential buildings' outside environment.The author expects that by taking proper measures to improve material elements of existing building's outside environment which are proposed in this thesis,poor material environments can be transformed to behavioral environments that meet people's psychological security requirements,thus weakening residents' fear of victimization and improving the quality of people's living environment.The author tries to provide technical strategic support to build safe,comfortable and defensible building's outside environment and reference to the design of residential buildings' outside environment when defense safety elements are taken into account.
