| The improvement of environmental quality in new urban area of Changchun lags behind the development of the city, resulting in a series of morbid environmental problems that induce residents’ fear of crime.Fear of crime is a kind of subjective feeling and psychological cognition about whether the environment is safe or not, which changes in real time with the spatial environment.Foreign studies on residents’ fear of crime are based on specific urban spatial patterns and spatial scales, while few studies have been carried out under the new urban pattern in China.Combining with CPTED theory, this paper puts forward environmental improvement strategies, which can reduce fear of crime and create a healthy and safe living environment, and provide more methods and ideas for crime prevention from the perspective of criminology, environmental psychology and other disciplines.Based on the concept of CPTED(territoriality, surveillance, image maintenance, entrance control, activity support, target hardening, community awareness),this paper collects the basic data of the residents’ fear of crime in different grades of typical residential buildings in the new urban area of Changchun City, and analyzes it with statistical software.First, the correlation analysis method is used to verify the outside environmental factors that affect the residents’ fear of crime;second, the factor analysis method is used to summarize the outside environmental factors that affect residents’ fear of crime into several kinds of influencing factors;third, the regression analysis method is used to build a linear regression model to rank the factors according to the strength of fear of crime.Combined with the concept of CPTED,this paper puts forward some design suggestions to reduce fear of crime and form general design guidelines. This paper consists of five chapters.Chapter 1 is the introduction, which mainly introduces the research background, research purpose and significance, research content and methods, research status at home and abroad.Chapter 2 is the basic overview of the research, which defines the concepts and theoretical research status of fear of crime,CPTED,and puts forward the research methods and ideas of this paper.Chapter 3 is the field research and data processing, and obtains the outside environmental factors that affect fear of crime and attributes them to the CPTED concept: the factors of low-grade residential areas can be attributed to the image management, activity support and territoriality;the factors of medium-grade residential areas can be attributed to territoriality and community awareness;the factors of high-grade residential areas can be attributed to community awareness, activity support, target hardening and surveillance.Chapter 4 is the analysis of the current situation, combined with the current situation of the residential environment, analyzes the environmental problems that affect fear of crime. In Chapter 5,combined with the design concept of CPTED,specific design strategies to reduce fear of crime are proposed for different residential areas. |
