Research On The Evolution Of Rural Self-built Housing Form Of Yueqing

With the process of rapid urbanization,the rural construction in China has made remarkable achievements since the implement of reform and opening up policy.Rural residential environment and housing quality has been greatly improved,and new breakthroughs were also made in areas such as self-built housing style and internal spatial layout.Especially in Zhejiang,the rural construction has always been in a leading position,and it has a great influence upon surrounding provinces and even father parts of the nation.Based on time sequence,this paper takes Yueqing,where “Wenzhou Model” originated,as an example,in order to record and disentangle the changes of the formal features of self-built housing since 1949,two significant factors have been considered in this paper,including external forms and internal spatial layout.According to local economy,rural construction policy,and changes in life-styles and values,the writer preliminarily summarizes the evolution of the formal features of local rural self-built housing,and reasons about that evolution has also been arranged and analyzed in this paper,deeming to provide certain ideas and references for the orderly construction of self-built housing in rural areas around Yueqing and other developed regions.There are three major parts in this paper.The first part includes chapter 1 and 2,which discussed related academic researches and background information about the local self-built housing in Yueqing;The second part include chapter 3 and 4,focused on the evolution of the local self-built housing;Chapter 5 consists of the third part alone,analyzed the internal logics of both the evolutionary factors and the features of the appearances.Here follows chapter specifics:The first chapter is the introduction of the present research.By analyzing the current researching situation and background information of the topic,subjects and ranges have been made,the contents,purposes and meanings have also been provided,and technical route and methods have been determined.Chapter 2 mainly introduces the background of rural self-built houseing in Yueqing.According to basic situation of the local rural constructions,three different stages can be sketched from the development of the local self-built housing,and features of each stage have been drawn in this chapter.Chapter 3 combed research samples based on time sequence,also analyzed and summarized features of the local self-built housing in different periods.Fours aspects,including overall layout of rural housing,architectural image and detail,internal space layout and structure and surface decoration materials,and the evolutions of them have been disentangled,generalized and analyzed since the establishment of the nation in chapter 4.In chapter 5,Reasons about that factors which lead to the alteration of local self-built houses and the formation of the appearances features have been analyzed based on all predeceasing material.
