WIP management,as an important part of plant management,directly determine the business condition.If the level of WIP is too high,to begin with,the problem lead to poor corporate cash flow,what's more,due to customer orders can not be delivered on schedule lead to decline in business competitiveness.Therefore,how to control the level of the product line in the production,to find the best distribution of products in the workshop to become the key issue of management in the smooth production of the premise.Queuing theory,as a branch of operations research,is suitable for queuing or crowded scence,and it is also suitable for WIP optimization in workshop production process.This paper is based on the analysis of domestic and foreign research,the methods of using queuing theory algorithm to find the ideal number of products and production cycle was introduced.This method regards the production process as the queuing problem,and mathematical model was established to solve the WIP problem quantitatively.In order to verify the effectiveness of the method,the WIP management system based on queuing theory is designed.The system used the MBT configuration software as the development platform,the queuing theory and the data display program were written into the python code module.At the same time,this paper used the degree of deviation between the actual and ideal WIP to describe the WIP status.After the completion of the design of management system,software testing is necessary,included program testing based on queuing theory module and network stability testing for electronic KanBan display.Black-Box test method was used in program testing,and winQSB simulation results as the expected output,finally test of the program passed.For network stability test,electronic Kanban performance was observed in the three cases of network disconnected,unstable network connection,network connection stability.On the basis of all the above work,the correctness of the theory and the practicality of the management system were verified by the example of A company.The company has ten production lines,and T production line arised the problem of WIP level was too high and the distribution was not scientific.After three months,the WIP level is decreased significantly and distribution of products is balanced and stable on T production line.This example proves that the management system based on queuing algorithm has significant effect on the WIP management.
