ABSTRACT:As period of time that cities quickly urbanize and the population expansion, the traffic pressure of megalopolis will grow gradually. Experts from all country have reached a consensus that bus priority is best way to solve the traffic problems. In the problem of buses, bus station has been considered as the node of bus flow. Not only advance the bus operation efficiency, but also decide the ability of traffic Bottleneck. Vehicles always are delayed in the section of bus stops because of the complexity of bus flow and the function diversity of bus stop. Therefore, it is necessary to improve vehicle delay model at bus station, measure the changes in different delay condition, and the significance of the model is big in the way of improving the bus operation efficiency and the cities' benign development.This paper analysis the running character of vehicles at bus stop, concludes the factors that delaying vehicles. Utilize the Queuing theory, traffic flow theory also using the BRP function to found the vehicle delay model. Combining the traffic survey, this paper gives quantitative analysis on the vehicles delay impact caused by the bus stops, provides the delaying changes in different condition. On that basis, the paper proposes the project practice solutions to advance the vehicle running efficiency, describes the improving effect according to the model, and provides theory foundation for practice. The main methods and productions include:(1) Summarize the researches of the impact of bus operating and parking on capacity of traffic flow and intersection domestic and international.(2) Based on the review of domestic and international research status, the study summarizes the basic forms of bus stop and the characteristics of flows near the bus stops. Further, the paper analyzes the characteristics of interlacing and conflict between the flows.(3) Utilize the Queuing theory, traffic flow theory also using the BRP function to found the vehicle delay model by the static from the survey of Jimenqiaoxi station. Based on the static of Jimenqiaoxi station, calibrates the related parameters for traffic flow model, and calculates the results of delay level. And further more, the paper analyzes the Variation of delay by different flows, different arrival and different velocity.(4) Combining the traffic survey and the calculates results, the paper proposes the project practice solutions to advance the traffic running efficiency, and quantitative analyze the actual effects of different improvement.
