| With the acceleration of China’s rapid national economic and social development and urbanization process,construction industry has also been rapid development,and become an important pillar of national economic.However,construction industry suffers from poor quality,low efficiency,poor performance in a long period.Therefore,how to improve construction project performance has become a matter of concern and urgent to be solved.Scholars believe that construction industry can learn the methods and experience from the manufacturing industry to improve project performance,which is adopting quality management practices.Scholars have done a lot of research,but the relationship between quality management practice and project performance is still vague,there is no uniform conclusion.At the same time,most of the current research only studies the relationship between quality management practices and project performance,and few studies consider whether there are other influencing factors to play a role.Based on this,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to further confirm the relationship between quality management practice and project performance in construction industry and to explore the role of project governance mechanism in the impact of quality management practice on project performance.This study focuses on effective quality management practices in the construction industry,and the relationship between quality management practices and project performance.And based on transaction cost theory and opportunism,this study mainly discuss the positive moderating effect of governance mechanism on the relationship between quality management practice and project performance.Based on the data from 216 valid questionnaires,this study tests the hypothesis and model and get the following conclusions:(1)quality management practices have positive effect on project performance in the construction industry;(2)The positive effect of quality management practices on project performance is moderated by contractual governance such that the positive effect is greater when contractual governance is higher;(3)The positive effect(?)quality management practices on project performance is moderated by trust such that the positive effect is greater when trust is higher.This study can help to promote the deepening application of quality management theory and the development of project management theory in China’s construction industry.And help to improve the performance of construction projects to better meet the needs of the people in practice. |
