BM’s powertrain plant in China was established in 2011,which is the only powertrain production base of BMW Group outside Europe.In 2013,BM established a new factory for power assembly in China to produce a new generation of TUE0 powertrains,mainly including B38 transverse powertrain,B48 transverse powertrain and B48 longitudinal powertrain.With the steady increase of BMW’s overall sales in China,the capacity of the existing production line cannot increase the sales of cars.In order to meet the capacity of the whole vehicle,the powertrain capacity expansion project comes from this.The metrology department is the most critical supervision and management department for machining quality control.In order to coordinate with the improvement of the overall output and enhance the detection frequency of machining products,including cylinder block and cylinder head,the new measurement room also needs to be expanded and upgraded accordingly.This paper studies the expansion project of BM powertrain factory measurement room,and the research on the powertrain project has not received enough attention in today’s academic journals.This paper plans and optimizes the project schedule mainly by using the contents of project management and combining the precise requirements for powertrain machining products: define the content of each activity through the decomposition of the work content,define the activity responsible person according to the decomposed activity content,and define the project core team through the activity responsible person;Then,the project schedule is prepared by estimating the project activity cycle.Using this relatively mature method of project schedule preparation,and combining with the actual needs of the project,the activities are clearly disassembled,and according to the existing personnel structure of the department,select elite and strong personnel,and establish a complete project organizational structure.Gantt chart method and critical path method are used to find the main line of the project process.Aiming at the equipment characteristics and procedure requirements of the expanded project in the measurement room,combined with the support of existing human resources,supplier resources,procedure resources and foreign experienced personnel,the plan is effectively optimized.The monitoring direction of the project progress is determined through the development of the project control process,and the deviation in the project implementation process is controlled and adjusted accordingly.Especially for the organization,management and technology in the implementation of the project,in-depth analysis shall be carried out,and effective measures shall be designated to greatly reduce the factors of project deviation.The targeted preparation of the project plan aims to control the project progress within the plan.Make full use of the existing resources,improve the preliminary preparations,and extend the application as far as possible to avoid the impact of unexpected situations during the project implementation process on the project plan。This study can also provide a reference direction for the establishment of similar precision laboratories and metrology rooms in the future.
