With the increasing degree of automotive electronics,the testing in Auto parts has became more and more important,and both testing technology and testing methods have changed dramatically.High degree of automation and high measurement precision of the testing methods were applied to more and more filed testing.A torque sensor is a important component of an auto electric power Steering systems(EPS).Torque sensor plays a role in measuring the torque of the steering wheel,and provides a basis for the magnitude of the assistant power.Its accuracy and stability directly affect the driving safety of automotive vehicles,therefore research and development on the test of torque sensor is very important.In order to optimize testing methods of the sensor,researchers had done a lot of research on sensor testing.On this basis,the paper proposed a test system of electromagnetic induction torque sensor based on Lab Windows/CVI,which had a significant guiding and application value for improving the efficiency of experiment and measurement precision.With respect to low automation and the deficiencies of measurement accuracy during the test of EPS torque sensor,virtual instrument technology and PXI/PXIe technology were used for the hardware and software design of automatic test system.In terms of hardware design,the system used NI PXIe-6612 counter/timer as the hardware plathform,selecting PXIe data acquisition card to acquire sensor and encoder signals simultaneously;PXI-6515 digital card and PLC were used to control input shaft angle of rotation and thus to realize automic control of testing machine.The hardware system had the advantages of flexible configuration,good commonality and so on.On the aspect of software,Lab Windows/CVI was used as a development platform for the test application software.The software platform mainly included each function module and friendly interface,which adopted module design method to realize sensor calibration,data display,data storage,data analysis and other functions.The software system had the advantages of rapid programming,convenient programming and so on.In order to verify the stability and reliability of the test system,the test system need to be simulated.Experimental results show that torque sensor performance test system based on Lab Windows/CVI improves the experimental efficiency and testing precision,which can achieve the design requirements.
