The gas turbine is a high-tech product with great prospect for thedevelopment. It’s power machinery which related to many areas of the countriesin the energy, transportation, environmental protection and others. As animportant part of a gas turbine, turbine blade works in the environment of hightemperature and high pressure for a long period time, is the most easily damagedparts of the gas turbine, therefore the detection of the turbine blade is critical.By measuring the temperature of the turbine balde, we can indirectly measurethe leaf state, in order to determine whether the blade is working properly. When in the work, the blade is always in the rotation state, so we must use anon-contact temperature measurement. We use radiation thermometry to detect theturbine blades in this topic.Virtual instrument has many advantages such as little development time, highperformance, well scalability, flexible, efficient, and without the constraintof the traditional industry standard. Virtual instrument is hot in the fieldof measurement and control. LabWindows/CVI which NI introduced is an usualvirtual instrument software. Users customize their own measuring instrumentsthrough software programming and the selection of controls by usingLabWindows/CVI.To support virtual instrument, I choose PXI system as hardware. PXI fullyembodies the concept of virtual instrumentation. PXI is based on PC technology, and its hardware is modular. It’s rugged and it has many channels. In this topic I use LabWindows/CVI to make a tubine blade temperaturemeasurement system. Temperature signal is converted to a voltage signal by thesensor, and the voltage signal is put into a host computer through a dataacquisition card. Data would be processed, analyzed, storaged and displayed inthe host computer. With memory function, the system can record the data collected, to make a data recalled to observe at any other time. The temperature data canbe generated reports for printing.
