As a safe and clean energy,nuclear power is favored by multiple countries at present,which results in a rapid expansion in nuclear power plant construction both domestically and internationally.Meanwhile,the safe operation of nuclear power causes the general attentions.After the Fukushima nuclear accident,it has been the key point of the nuclear countries studies that how to ensure the stable,efficient and safe operation of nuclear power during its life period.Inside a nuclear power plant,the cables of nuclear class control instruments are like nerve and the power cables are like blood vessels.They involve the power supply and control to the 95 systems of the entire power plant,which is the important insurance of the nuclear power safe operation.This paper gives a brief introduction to the constructer and latest characteristic requirement of the nuclear class cable at first;in order to satisfy the latest technical requirements and standards,through the analysis to the nuclear power plant cables,studies on the conductor,insulating material and sheathing material respectively;finally analyzes the developing direction of nuclear class cable.1.Conductivity is ensured by tinning.Insulating material adopt polyethylene with metal hydroxide,and then irradiation crosslinking.Sheathing material adopt anticorrosion measurement with the additive of rat proof and ant proof.2.In order to verify the satisfaction to the requirements at the end of life period,this paper simulates the accelerated aging of cable through the Arrhenius equation,takes actual measurement to the data at the temperature of 135?,150?,165? and 180?,finds the thermal equivalent method is 1026 hours storage at 155?,then get performance examination in the national authoritative inspection organization,and finally accesses the approval from the NNSA to satisfy the safe development requirements of latest nuclear power.For the operating nuclear power plants,through the simulation of operating environment and calculation of the residual life period using Arrhenius equation.This paper gives preventable maintaining advises,which brings significant insurance to the future nuclear power safety operation.
