With the continuous expansion of air transportation fleet and the increasing complexity of technical equipment, fatigue problems among aircraft maintenance personnel have become increasingly prominent. Fatigue can easily lead to errors, forget leakage and other safety risks, resulting in maintenance errors and threaten the aircraft operation. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the fatigue level of maintenance personnel, as well as its distribution and factors to improve maintenance management level, ensuring the safety of aircraft operations.In this study, we formulate a fatigue rating scale which is applicable to aircraft maintenance personnel by reference to domestic and foreign mature fatigue rating scales and combined with the characteristics of aircraft maintenance work. Then take this scale as a research tool, selecting several aircraft maintenance personnel as study objects, to measure their fatigue levels. The statistic shows that the average fatigue level of maintenance personnel is moderate fatigue. Demographic variables such as gender, job, technology licensing and marital status significantly related to fatigue. In this study, line maintenance personnel appear to be of heavier fatigue than the other personnel of different job. In order to analyze fatigue factors, firstly, determine the fatigue factors through literature review and reference to the characteristics of line maintenance work, then build a second-order model of maintenance personnel fatigue factors through the theory and methods of structural equation modeling and verify the model with the survey data. Then determine the weight of each factor. The results show that health factor cause the highest effect, followed by scheduling arrangements and quality of sleep and other factors. At the end of this study, put forward recommendations based on quantitative analysis to relieve fatigue and improve the level of maintenance fatigue management.
