The self-propelled stick boom aerial work platform is taken for the research target in the thesis.This study simulate the motion scope by using the SOLIDWORKS, ADAMS and other design analysis software. Firstly by creating 3D design model of aerial working platform, setting up aerial work platform dynamics model,and then making the kinematics simulation, and get the optimized platform velocity and accerleration diagram after designing different cylinder velocity in sequence lifting and compound lifting motion, and platform meets safety standard and get big movement speed meanwhile.This thesis introduces the stick boom aerial work platform basical structure and working schematic.It creates SOLIDWORKS 3D model and transfers 3D model to ADAMS virtual prototype model, and adds constraints and motion, simulates motion trajectory in different kinds of oil cylinder movement speed, working arm sequence and combination movement, finds out motion range limit data of the working platform. It verifies that 3D model meets design objective.It refers to GB25849 and EN280, AS/NZS 1418 standard. It calculates the dynamic and static stability, kerb and depression stability of the machine by using SOLIDWORKS software under different conditions, such as different rated load, different lift cylinder velocity, different drive velocity. and it compares different outcomes and gets minimum stability index,verifies the validity of calculation, provides stability calculation theory and method for aerial working platform.This research provides us a method for control system velocity design,motion scope simulation and stability calculation of aerial working platform. It has great reference effect for the design development in company's other aerial working platform.
