Preliminary Design And Construction Research Of Henan Zhoukou Region Straw Farmhouse

This article carries out a cases study of the countryside of Zhoukou, Henan. In the basis of analysis of the demanding of the farmhouses of Zhoukou, Henan, concluding a basic mode of the building of farmhouses of Zhoukou, Henan. Combing the deep research of straw block roof system and connecting structure of wall to build the straw farming model house in consistent with characteristics of countryside of Zhoukou, Henan.This article aims mainly at designing and researching the real situation of farmhouses of countryside of Zhoukou, Henan and combines its own characteristicsof the strawblock to build a straw farmhouses fitting in the countryside's characteristics and farmers' demands.The specific context this article studied includes:(1)A Cases Study of the Countryside in Zhoukou, Henan. To build the straw farmhouses fitted in the countryside of Zhoukou, Henan, firstly we need to study the real situation of Zhoukou. Thus this article studied many villages in Taikang county and Huaiyang county and interviewed and mapped. In the study, we found that the farmhouses in Zhoukou, Henan had its own characteristics and each village is different from the other. This article selects two representative villages and maps nine representative farmhouses in these villages to analyze and conclude the normal building mode of the farmhouses.(2)Analysis of the Mode of Farmhouses in Zhoukou, Henan Drawing the representative farmhouses in computer based on the cases study, collecting data and by virtue of Revit software. We can easily make straight comparison between every part of the farmhouses. From particular to general, conclude the characteristics of the farmhouses in the countryside of Zhoukou. By analyzing, we conclude that farmhouses courtyard is normally classified into enter gate, cluttered spaces, pit toilet or bathroom, kitchen, principal room and poultry breeding space. Due to the popularity of drainpipe and dirty, mess and badness of pit toilet, it is gradually replaced by bathroom. Normally, new built houses place the kitchen in the principal room and seldom place it in the yard separately. New built farmhouses normally have two floors with an attic. The second floor normally has a terrace. The roof “chuxia” form a flat roof in which can place solar water heater etc.(3)Design of Stalks Farming HousesAs per the case study and mode analysis of farmhouse in Zhoukou in Henan, combing with the characteristics of the straw block and building the straw farmhouses fitting in the countryside's characteristics of Zhoukou in Henan. Straw brick differs from clay brick and concrete block with its own advantages and disadvantages. In the range that the straw brick is not workable, using the old brick, making the best use of advantages and bypassing the disadvantages. By referring to the Xiaolin Lu's <Light slope roof system based on straw materials> and Kai Wu's<Structure design of straw wall unit block and durability research>, using the straw brick in the farmhouses in Zhoukou. Straw farmhouses have its ownframework, structureand building mechanism.By virtue of Sketchup software, working out the model and straightly reflect the building method of the straw farmhouses by row designing the straw wall unit block.(5)Feasibility Analysis of Stalks Farming Houses On the basis of designing of specific case, carrying out feasibility analysis of the farmhouses designing by using QinghuaSiweier and PKPM software in aspects of energy consumption analysis, structure analysis and building cost analysis. Reflect the absolute superiority. After analysis, straw farmhouses are far better than clay brick and concrete block in aspects of energy consumption, structure bearing capacity and building cost which indicates that the straw farmhouses in Zhoukou, Henan is feasible and promising.
