Research On Works Of Architects In China Who Got The Pritzker Architecture Prize

Since the reform and opening, more and more foreign architects enter in China in order to undertake the important task of architectural design. In the 21st century, with the completion of the China central television CCTV building’s construction, great changes has brought into China’s urban landscape. It is important to note that the important city landmark buildings were all built by foreign architects, and study found that most of them are The Pritzker Architecture Prize winners. This article chose the aspect of the winners to study the architects and their architectural works in China. Analyzed the design concept of The Pritzker Architecture Prize winners’ and their understanding of China’s regional culture, discussing the cultural collision and fusion reflected from their works in China.This article analyzed the development of The Pritzker Architecture Prize, and collected, sorted out the Chinese works of the winners. It analyzed and combed 37 years’ 41 award-winning architects since 1979.13 Chinese architectural works from foreign architects were studied. From these three principles of "strong", "apply" and "beautiful", we discussed performance characteristics in "strong " (technological means), "apply" (function space), "beautiful" (artistic form), and combed the their design conception.By analyzing the Chinese work of The Pritzker Architecture Prize winners, I explained the performance characteristics in building works from the functional space, artistic form, technical means and arranged their design ideas in these three aspects, then analyzed what the design concept focused on in these ideas.By studying the works of The Pritzker Architecture Prize winners in China, the article summarizes the study of construction technology, the deep excavation of regional culture and the strength of architectural education. It widens the architectural ideas. For our country’s future direction and reference of city construction and It provides the direction and reference for the city construction in the future and will make our own design to get great progress.Based on the example of Ban mao’s paper-pined buildings of Miaomiao kindergarten, the thesis conducted a interior design in the end and tried to use the ideas of The Pritzker Architecture Prize winners.
