Especially in the process of public housing project construction management, to achieve the requirements of the government, schedule management is one of the most key content. E8 public housing projects is a key construction of public housing project in economic and technological development zone of Beijing, and is designed specifically for the development zone the introduction of overseas talent to provide supporting facilities. The construction schedule management level of the project will directly decide the success of the construction. As one of main managers of E8 project, author is directly involved in the E8 project construction schedule management, from the project construction progress plan compiling to the execution and control. Therefore, it's definitely practical to choose E8 public housing project construction schedule management as the research subject of my dissertation.This paper combines theory with practice, takes E8 public rental housing as an example, expound the role of schedule management in project, according to materials and related literature. Firstly, background, significance, research status and related theory are introduced. Then, the status of schedule management in E8 project is analyzed. At last, management of construction progress in E8 project and implementation and control of plan are discussed in detail. The research shows that the reasonable system of schedule management will improve the efficiency of project management, and enhance the holistic management of the project at last.
