Display Design For Tower Crane Safety Monitoring System

In recent years, with the rapid development of the real estate industry, tower crane was widely used in the construction industry as an essential heavy machinery equipment. But because of the tower crane's structure and working environment, tower crane accidents occur occasionally, therefore, the construction industry and regulatory authorities should pay enough attention to it. To this end, we designed a tower crane safety monitoring system includes LCD screen display.This paper designs a tower crane safety monitoring system regarding CPLD as the core, and gives the design scheme of display system, and the CPLD program module of the LCD timing, SDRAM control and ARM interface are designed in detail. By generating LCD line/field synchronization signal, SDRAM read/write timing and SDRAM auto refresh sequence to achieve the display from the image memory SDRAM to the LCD screen; by receiving and executing the command from arm processor of painting, drawing text, painting color and paint the background map, realizes the purpose of writing graphics, symbols and parameters requiring to display into the SDRAM.Finally, the test results show that the display system of tower crane safety monitoring designed is stable and no flicker, reach the design requirements of the display for tower crane safety monitoring system, pass the acceptance of the using company.
