Because of its high lifting,the weight of large and wide operating range ofcharacteristics , tower crane has been widely used in the field of modernarchitecture for elevating. But it is also a implication dangerous organization.According to statistics, every year fatal accidents caused because the tower craneoperator overloading or improper operation of tower cranes. It can be said towercrane accident has become a major threat to the safety of building constructions.Therefore, the state and all levels of department issued a "safe operation of towercranes," a series of measures, mandatory for tower crane safety monitoringmeasures to ensure the safe operation of tower cranes.This paper according to the national "Eleventh Five-Year" science andtechnology support program, "Construction Equipment Research and IndustrialDevelopment" sub-topic "column focused on network management of grouptechnology and plant" proposed DSP-based tower crane safety monitoring system.The article aimed at a single tower crane of DSP processor core, has designedtower machine work condition status collection, monitoring and processingsystem. It will provide effective guidance through the LCD screen for the towercrane operators, and when overload, the monitoring system alarm and cut off thetower's power supply to run the risk of direction, a security monitoring purposes.The monitoring system combines sensor technology, embedded technology,hardware and software design and development technologies, using TI'sTMS320F2812 high-performance 32-bit DSP processor, processing speed, anti-interference ability, real good, very good complete tower crane safety monitoringfunctions, and in accordance with tower crane monitoring system miniaturizationand the development of intelligent direction.The subject with the advanced control system from the weight sensor, altitudesensor, angle sensor, speed sensor, and the design of the electronic torque sensor,through innovative methods to install, improved tower crane safety monitoring oftechnical performance. When the system works, first of all, it will collect theparameters of each sensor through the amplification, A/D converter input to theDSP processor interface. Then, DSP processor will process the data soon and real-time data will be displayed in the LCD screen to the tower crane operator. Atthe same time, when the data is more than set value, the alarm system works andcut off the alarm signal to the dangerous direction of movement. In addition, thesystem will be monitored through external expansion memory data storage, datawill be used for the research of tower crane and provide evidence for the towercrane regulators for identification of responsibility for the accident.In this paper, experimental debug, validate the feasibility of this monitoringsystem, fast, directly reflects the state of tower crane working parameters andsafety monitoring takes a good job. The monitoring system will provide accuratefront-end data and related interfaces for the group tower collision avoidancesystem.
