Along with the enhancement of China's national power, auto industry-stand for productivity developed fast. Popular auto and automotive part brands speak highly of Greater China area market, and make cooperation with local auto companies to produce vehicle and automotive part facilities.They take advantage of developing countries' Demographic Dividend, employ local manpower so that decrease produce cost, logistics cost and tariff cut, thus increase the famous brands awareness. Power train is the most important part in vehicles. The process and technology of its production line is highly required, which stands for their advancement.Research on engine cylinder head assembly line is carried, which line balancing problem and improvement via Value-added production. According to Gamba observation and some department colleagues investigation, production line status is understood, Flexsim simulation model is established.Based on the result of simulation and data analysis, some problems are appeared. Finding root causes to influencing the efficiency of assembly, Value-added thought is used to analyze and optimize furthermore reform the production line.Based on assembly line balancing, production line is optimized further. Work station motions are fully investigated and analyzed, divided into operation elements, modified Genetic Algorithm and Matlab are used to analyze cycle time. Optimized cycle time is obtained, line balanced,system ability improved and capacity enhanced.
