Under the background of China's economic transformation and upgrading,the heavy duty automobile industry has gained the opportunity of rapid development in the complex and changeable business environment,and at the same time,enterprises are also facing great competitive pressure.Production site as the central link of manufacturing enterprises,assembly line balance optimization,improvement of production efficiency and reduction of production costs become effective means to enhance the competitiveness of enterprises.This paper takes T company's heavy vehicle assembly line as the research object.Firstly,industrial engineering technology was applied to work study on the assembly line,to understand the operation status,overall layout and process equipment of the production line,to sort out the assembly process flow,to divide the minimum operation elements,and to measure the operation elements and station beats through time research,so as to draw the priority relation diagram of operation elements.Then,the Flexsim simulation software was used to establish the simulation model of the assembly line and run the simulation model to obtain the simulation results.After in-depth analysis of the simulation results data and charts,the imbalance of the production line was found and the bottleneck station was determined.According to the assembly line balancing theory,determine the assembly line balance program.Based on the linear programming method,the linear programming mathematical model of the assembly line's pre-assembly section was constructed,and Lingo software was used to solve the balance result of the pre-assembly section.Heuristic algorithm was used to optimize and adjust the balance of the assembly line's assembly section,and the work elements were redistributed to each station of the assembly line.Finally,the Flexsim simulation software was used to model and simulate the assembly line after balance optimization to verify the balance scheme,and the quantitative comparative analysis was conducted for the assembly line balance evaluation indexes before and after optimization,in which the production beat was reduced from 1053 seconds to 722 seconds,the balance rate of the assembly line was increased from 64.2%to 93.8%,the smoothness index of the assembly line was improved from 411.3 to 41.9,and 11 operators were reduced,and achieved the goal of balancing the assembly line.In this paper,industrial engineering technology,assembly line balance theory,Flexsim simulation technology,linear programming method,heuristic algorithm and Lingo mathematical software are effectively combined to improve the balance rate of T company's assembly line,shorten the production cycle,and improve the production efficiency and productivity.The research idea of this paper also has certain guiding significance and reference value for the balance optimization of assembly lines of other enterprises.
