A Study On The Green Design Methods Of The Elderly Community

In the twenty-first Century, the global population began to enter the era of aging. The amount of elderly people in China has already reached the international definition of the standard of aging society because of its rapid speed of growing. This means China entered the progress of aging as well. And China's aging population has developed rapidly over the next 30 years. It is predicted that the number of aging people will reach two hundred and forty-eight million by 2020 and two hundred and seventy million by 2023. By the middle of the twenty-first Century, the number of elderly population will reach the maximum, aging level reached an unprecedented height.With the increasingly serious environmental problems, green building is the current development trend of the construction industry in the world. Our country is in the historical period of rapid development of various industries, population, resources and environmental pressures are becoming more and more prominent. The central leadership has repeatedly made important instructions on the development of green building that the government should make the implementation of building energy efficiency, energy saving products as an important part of the development.With the increasing degree of aging in our country and the change of the concept of pension, the existing pension facilities can not meet the needs of the elderly. The elders have higher demands for the quality of the elderly community. The urgent need for the construction of the elderly community is accompanied by the urgent environmental problems at the same time. So the integration of green building concept into the construction of the elderly community is the inevitable trend of the construction of our country's elderly community in the future. This research tries to find out several green design methods on elderly communities based on the physiology and psychology of old people and the general character of the elderly building and green building, in order to create a better living environment for old people and to provide a reference for the development and design of more and more green elderly community in the future.
