This paper is based on actual project,I do the simulation and reach to the electric string dynamical type steering gear and rack on the noise problem.First of all,the article analyses the mechanism of the abnormal sound and formulate the research programme.then build the simulation model of the steering gear and rack to proceed the transient simulation.Through analysis the stress and vibration acceleration in the contact part.I found the “transient gap” in the meshing pair.Then analysis the reason of steering abnormal sound.Build the simulation model under the condition of no-load.Through demarcating and simulating I got the no-load moment of the gear and rack steering.Optimize the stiffness of the floating support using the no-load model.Get the optimizing candidate points of the spring stiffness.Then take the points to the simulate model under the condition of detection dais.Verify the result of optimization.Finally through the analysis I got the best stiffness of the floating support and recommend it to the factory.This paper come up with a way to the simulation of the gear and rack steering support.Its design patch is that build the simulation under the loading condition to detect the “transient gap” in the meshing part;build the no-load model to detect the moment of the steering.Optimize the stiffness of the steering floating support.And then take the optimization result to the upload model.Use the “transient gap” to evaluate the optimization result.
