During the last century, brick structure is used in most of the buildings. And clay brick as the main materials. These buildings were demolished in the process of urbanization, which produces a large amount of used clay brick. Used clay brick becomes the main source of waste building resources, accounting for about 50% of the total construction waste. Therefore, to explore the recycling method of used clay brick has positive significance to promote the process of construction waste materials reuse.This thesis focuses on this point; explain many basic problems, such as brick material classification, development process, application status and difficulties, to dig application value of the old brick materials. Through specific examples, analyzes the typical architecture examples of traditional used-brick. From it, learning the application methods and design vocabulary of traditional brick, design guidance for modern architecture. Compare and analysis the reusing method of used-brick in modern architectural practice works.In addition, in the context of globalization, The convergence of urban construction in our country caused the local characteristic gradually fade. A lot of social problems cause the attention of the contemporary architects.
