The Application Of Brick Material And Stone Material In Contemporary Architecture And Landscape Integration

The thesis article is focused on the application of brick material and stone material in contemporary architecture and landscape integration design.The thesis starts with the analysis on the concept of architecture and landscape, which lead to the close relationship between architecture and landscape. The thesis points out that the architects should implement the thought of integration design to integrate the architecture with landscape. Based on Gestalt Psychology and Gestalt Psychology, the thesis expounds the physical properties of materials. After that, the thesis determines the research objects: brick and stone, which can be used as building materials and landscape material at the same time. Then the thesis defines the research scope of brick material and stone material.Secondly, the thesis cite examples in modern constructions which take the relationship between architecture, site and landscape as the starting point of the whole design and create integration environments using brick material and stone material. It summarizes the application method of brick material and stone material from integrated construction, spatial integration and functional integration. It expounds integrated construction from the logical, regional and humanism of brick and stone; it expounds spatial integration from spatial completeness, the continuity of interface and space shaping; it expounds functional integration from the practical function, visual function, behavioral function, summed up two different modes of function replacement which are isomerism and heterogeneous isomorphism.According to these three aspects above, the thesis constructs the design mode and presentation of brick material and stone material in the integration of architecture and landscape design, and analysis the development direction of the integration of architecture and landscape design.
