| Expressway Service area,is constructed to meet the needs of driver and passengers on the highway and improve the service functions of highway,providing transport security,rest services and other service facilities for passengers and vehicles.As a special road conditions,expressway service area has its own characteristics compared to ordinary road that outside of service area,both in terms of traffic environment characteristics,environmental characteristics,or the driver’s visual aspects are very different from ordinary sections.Expressway service area traffic signs is closely related to the driver,is a key factor in achieving the service area of the intended function of system,during the selection process in the parking,traffic signs provide important real-time induction for the driver to ensure smooth access to the service area and ensure the patency of internal and regional traffic.So combining the driver visual characteristics with the traffic signs setting can improve the traffic sign systems of expressway service area,and create a more comfortable and convenient driving environment for the driver.Firstly,analysised the features of expressway service area traffic sign,combining the characteristics of the expressway service area,proposed the structural levels,layout principles and setting parameters of the expressway service area traffic sign.Through the discussion of driver’s visual characteristics,determined the characterization parameters of driver visual behavior in expressway service area,and analysised the driver’s visual recognition of traffic signs in the driving process.Secondly,surveyed for the traffic flow in expressway service area,and obtained the traffic flow characteristics of the expressway service area.Utilizing Smart Eye Pro 5.7 Non-invasive eye tracker recorded the driver’s eye movement parameters in the different sections of the service area,and using each section of the driver’s gaze region,the distribution of fixations,fixation duration of eye movement parameters as the evaluation index to analyze the driver’s eye movement variation in each section during traveling.On this basis,studied the wayfinding feature of drivers in the driving process of expressway service area.Finally,the specific design of traffic signs were studied on the basis of analysing the needs for traffic signs in expressway service area,proposed optimization model to optimize the design of traffic signs,specifically designed for each level of traffic signs.Established a feasible optimization model mainly for traffic signs distribution of the third level,combining issue features and models to determine the genetic algorithm as the solution algorithm,on this base analysised of the pre-distance traffic sign calculation model. |
