As an important content of road traffic management and the "language" of the road,traffic signs are very important to create a safe and smooth traffic environment.Direction signs and lane signs are important traffic signs at urban road intersections,which are set up at a certain position upstream of the intersection.The two sets can be divided into front and back separate sets and side by side sets.There have been many studies on the setting form of road signs in front and lane signs in back,but few studies on the combination of the two.The two are divided into a total of three ways: on the left,on the right,on the right,on the left,on the top and on the next,and GB51038-2015 gives an illustrative explanation of the two in the current specification: Due to factors such as city setting habits or the close distance between intersections,two signs can be set up or set on the same page,but there are no specific provisions for different road conditions.GB5768-2022 does not mention the setting mode of the two parallel,which leads to many problems in practice for road traffic managers,and the selection of the parallel mode is mostly based on the preferences of designers without specific basis.Therefore,it is necessary to study the combination of direction signs and lane signs at intersection.The thesis aims to determine the parallelism of different lane types,conducts dynamic simulation experiments with the method of control variables,takes the characteristics of drivers’ visual cognitive parameters of parallel signs as the evaluation basis,and determines the setting scheme through statistical analysis of visual cognitive parameters.Firstly,the thesis analyzes the current situation of parallel installation of wayfinding signs and lane splitting signs in China,and analyzes the whole process of drivers from finding traffic signs to reading,reacting and operating when passing through intersections from the perspective of ergonomics and cognition.Then,the paper uses UC-win/Road simulation software to draw an experimental scenario,and conducts experiments on the visual recognition reaction time of the parallel signs and the setting characteristics of the parallel modes.The latter experiment was conducted with i View X HED 4eye-tracking device and simulated driving equipment,and Be Gaze software was used to collect eye-tracking parameters and subjective evaluation data such as pupil diameter,gaze behavior,path scan trajectory,and hot spot map during the simulated driving process.Finally,the experimental data were analyzed and the corresponding evaluation indexes were selected according to the analysis results for a comprehensive scheme selection,which resulted in the parallel setting scheme of wayfinding signs and divided driving lane signs under different lane number conditions.The experimental results show that: when the road section and the import lane are three lanes,the road section and the import lane are four lanes,the road section is three lanes,and the import lane is four lanes,it is appropriate to use the wayfinding sign on the top,the directional driving lane sign in the bottom and set up the way;when the road section is four lanes,the import lane is five lanes,it is appropriate to use the wayfinding sign on the left,the directional driving lane sign in the right and set up the way.The research results of the paper provide theoretical basis for verifying the reasonableness of the existing setting scheme in the part of the relevant specification in China for improving the parallel setting of directional signs and directional lane signs,as well as for providing reference to road traffic managers when applying parallel signs,so that the parallel signs can give full play to their guiding and indicating functions. |
