With the rapid development of global economy, the demand of energy continues to increase. However, the depletion of traditional energy sources will be mining, which will bring the world's energy crisis.New energy, especially the emergence of the solar industry effectively alleviate the energy crisis. PV industry become more mature, so the demand of the solar cell test systems are also growing rapidly.This paper presents a low cost, low power consumption, small outdoor solar testing systems, and multi-channel data acquisition system combining with solar cells testing system,so that the system has better flexibility.The test system is designed based on FPGA. It is used a capacitor as sample load instead of a variable resistor and simulated load changes in solar cell capacitor charging process,finally being showing on the LCD screen of various parameters and current characteristic.The system includes hardware circuit design and FPGA digital design. The hardware circuit design includes charge and discharge circuit design, multi-channel data acquisition circuit design, protection circuit design and the FPGA configuration circuit design.Multi-channel data acquisition circuit collect and process four analog signals of voltage, current, temperature and light, then analog to digital conversion; FPGA digital design includes channel selection module,sampling module,storage module,display module,to control the multi-channel data acquisition systems and process and display the collected data.The test results and error analysis of a solar cell sample showed that: the system can achieve the measurement of the main parameters of the open circuit voltage, short circuit current, maximum power, power factor and efficiency, and achieve the functional requirements with good stability and accuracy.
