Research On Household Hot-Water Supply Control System For Saving Energy

Abstract/Summary:
This paper aims at research on the household hot-water supply system for the sake of saving water and energy as well as using hot-water instantly and availably while opening a water valve. Several heating sources and combination modes have been analyzed and compared to find two optical combination modes of multi-heating sources. In order to meet the need of villa residents, an integrated multi-heating-source control system has been designed for the household hot-water supply.Firstly, this paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of solar collectors, air-source heat pumps, electric water heaters and gas water heaters through comparing the price of heat sources, the costs of installations, heating effects and the capability of safety and environmental protection to confirm two combination modes of multi-heating sources, one is the combination mode of solar collectors and gas water heaters, the other is the combination mode of air-source heat pumps and gas water heaters. Putting anyone of the combination modes into effect can ensure saving energy as well as comfortable using of hot-water by villa residents.Secondly, on the basis of analyzing the phenomenon of wasting water and thermal energies in traditional household hot-water supply system, a multi-source optimal integrated system has been designed, which consists of a backwater pipeline, a circulating pump, two solenoid valves and two temperature sensors. In order to reach the goal of using hot-water instantly and availably while opening a water valve, two types of controllers have been designed in this paper.Finally, two controllers have been introduced to meet the need of different users, one is controlled by PLC(programmable logic controller), and the other is controlled by single-chip computer. The former has been designed by making choice of PLC, formulation of control flows and programming and debugging, while the latter has been designed by determining the electrical principle schematic, making choice of electrical components, manufacture of PCB(Printed Circuit Board), programming and debugging, as well as testing by simulation to testify that the controller’s functions can meet the need of saving energy and water and comfortable using of hot-water by villa residents.
