In the world scope, the palace buildings of mankind left most gorgeous wealth,which played a significant role in the history of architecture at the same time. In Northeast Asia, people who lived besides the mountains lived quite unique life.Koguryo lived in the Northeast Asia and left a brilliant culture from A.D.1 to A.D.7.The palace buildings of Koguryo were of distinct features in the northeast area and were known as a history of the stone architectureThe Koguryo regime exist in history for 705 years, the throne for 28 generations.During the period, palace buildings were widespread constructed.Wandu Mountain City Ji'an city of Jilin province is one of the mid Koguryo capital representative buidings and many sites in the mountain city provided the most realistic basis for the understanding the life state of Koguryo. Wandu Mountain City Palace was explores by Jilin archaeological team.Relics unearth shocked the world and now the site has become part of the world cultural heritage and the importance is self-evident. In order to study its characteristics,Koguryo tomb murals of Koguryo and architectural image are the most important basis for restoration of characteristic, then conduct the research from Wandu Mountain City Palace scale and restore the wooden frame system and building envelope system. The completion of the Wandu Mountain City Palace area existing heritage restoration, and based on the palace functions speculation and its characteristics,the restoration of the palace could be accomplish.Wandu Mountain City Palace was damaged more than one thousand years ago and the wooden structure is not visible to the world.As the related documents are extremely deficient, messages that could reflect the Koguryo period architectural features of the data is quite rare. Dates has been divided into three levels in the study, one is directly related to the Koguryo building, the second one is buildings in the regions beside Wandu Mountain City Palace, the last one are visible buildings of all Koguryo time.These three levels of analysis about the architecture features capture important step and is also the important part of contrast and complement of Koguryo building.Understanding of the palace buildings can lead us to perspective into the technical level analysis of the region and more can be found from the civilization context,which are embodied in the special palace building. The author studied Wandu Mountain City Palace ruins from the perspective of architectural restoration, which hopes to return to its historical form in history. This would not only provide an important basis for improving the study of palace evolution and could also make more accurate judgments about buildings in Northeast Asia.
