On The Development Of Dancing Dress Of Yangge In Northern Shaanxi Province

Yangge in North Shaanxi province(YNSP)is the most influential,popular and defining plaza dance in local folk performing art.Its dress serves as the image of YNSP,shaping dancer's characteristics and delivering emotions.Its artistic features serves as an important role in the development of Yangge as it boasts of folk flavor and cultural heritages in North Shaanxi province.To study the development of dancing dress of YNSP is to reach the goal of blazing a new trail for the dress' s evolvement from the clothing perspective and based upon its legacy and development.In doing so,we can better protect and inject new impetus to YNSP,a national intangible cultural heritage,and help it to advance constantly with a new look in step with the change of times.This paper starts with exploring the origin of YNSP and combs through the development of Yangge's dance dress.Through a comparison of the difference in YNSP dancing dress before and after the new Yangge movement,we classify various dancing dresses on the basis of YNSP's performing styles.We have a better understanding about its historical trend and further tap into its controlling factors and current development in an in-depth way.Secondly,we analyze the artistic features of the dancing dress in terms of color,style,pattern,workmanship and material.And we have an in-depth study about the legacy and development of the dancing dress.Thirdly,we suggest some new ideas for its future development and blueprint a design proposal following the creative design ideas on the dress.The implementation of these ideas proves the feasibility of these innovative thoughts in YNSP dancing dress design.This paper is innovated in filling the gap of YNSP dancing dress research to some level and offering resources for further study.This research,while focusing on innovation and advancement of YNSP dancing dress,gives us a foothold to provide feasible suggestions to its sustainable development in the future.
