The Research On Yunnan’s Logistics Carbon Emission Performance And Its Influencing Factors

In recent years,the importance of logistics industry in China’s economic has been gradually improving.Although logistics has promoted the national economy,it has become the second largest carbon emission producer after manufacturing industry.Therefore,how to reduce the emission of carbon dioxide while ensuring the development of the logistics industry has become the key problem.However,the development mode of Yunnan’s logistics industry exist a lot of problems.These problems make the energy saving and emission reduction in the whole industry still very arduous.Under the severe environmental and energy pressure,the logistics industry in Yunnan is facing a huge challenge of the transformation to low carbon and green.At the same time,Yunnan is one of the "eight Province five city",and in the production of logistics "13th Five-Year" plan also pointed out that the development of low carbon logistics.Therefore,the analysis of the carbon emissions performance and its influencing factors of Yunnan’s logistics industry is of great importance.This paper studies the carbon emission performance of logistics industry in every city of Yunnan Province,and puts forward the following two important questions: what is the static and dynamic performance of carbon emissions in logistics industry in Yunnan province? And "what are the factors that affect the carbon emissions performance of the logistics industry in Yunnan province?" The paper regards the 16 cities in Yunnan Province as research objects,and explore the carbon emission performance and its influencing factors of logistics industry in Yunnan province.Secondly,this paper considers the economic level,energy structure,infrastructure,technological progress and endowments as the influence factors of carbon emission performance.Then use Tobit regression model to analysis the results.The conclusion we get is the economic performance level of static carbon emissions(CE)had no significant effect,but the Malmquist performance of carbon emission(MCPI)has a significant negative impact;The energy structure of CE and MCPI have negative impact;The infrastructure of CE is negative,but not significant,while MCPI is significant;The technical level of CE is positive,but not significant,the effect on MCPI is significant positive effect;The endowment of CE and MCPI were both nonsignificant.Finally,this paper based on the conclusions of empirical analysis,combined with the development of logistics industry in Yunnan Province,put forward the following suggestions:(1)promoting the development of low-carbon economy;(2)optimizing the energy structure of logistics industry;(3)strengthening the logistics infrastructure construction;(4)promoting the modernization of logistics technology and equipment;(5)improving the statistical data.
