The main function of the gear is to convey movement and power,which plays an important role in the development of modern industry.Large variety of gears,common mainly include cylindrical gears,helical gears,bevel gears and so on.For the simple structure of the large gear,the most commonly used processing methods are profiling milling gear,hobbing processing and tooth processing,but for the complex shape,large size gear,there will be a lot of processing problems: on the one hand ordinary equipment It is difficult to ensure that the quality of processing to meet the requirements;the other hand,although the demand for such gear is not large,but its processing is often required in a dedicated equipment.Which makes large gears in the five-axis machining center in the application of more and more.In the five-axis machining center,we can use the computer-aided design(CAD)for component design,part modeling,stress analysis,etc.,can also be computer-aided manufacturing(CAM)simulation tool,solid simulation,the actual processing And so on,for the production of mechanical products to provide a lot of convenience.MasterCAM as a mechanical product simulation software,you can identify a variety of modeling software files,such as UG,Solidworks,Proe,Inventor,etc.,while also has its own two-dimensional drawing,three-dimensional modeling,graphics analysis and other functions.And MasterCAM easy to learn,with a good human-computer interactive pages,can also be compatible with a variety of machine tools,while providing a powerful tool system library,practical value.Five-axis machining center can process any kind of gear.In this paper,a commonly used spur gear is taken as an example: the solid model is first modeled,and then the parameters of the machining process are set by MasterCAM software.Finally,the trajectory of gear machining is obtained to obtain the optimal path.We can carry out graphical simulation,but also for physical simulation,in a timely manner to see whether the process of cutting the knife in order to correct in time.Finally,the NC program code which can be recognized by the machining center can be generated,which can provide reference for the actual production and processing.
