With the worsening global climate, the increasingly serious environmental pollution and consuming more resources which makes economic development very restrict, in order to weaken the economic development impact on the climate,a low-carbon economy has become the inevitable choice. As a supporting factor of the development of low-carbon economy, low-carbon technology innovation and application are the core of of low-carbon economy. And more and more companies have realized that low-carbon technology breakthrough innovation is an important mean to achieve sustainable competitive advantage and the transformation of economic development. Manufacturing as the economic agents of national development, also as an important carrier of major industry carbon dioxide emissions and low-carbon technology innovation, industry promotion is particularly important to achieve the transformation of economic development mode and carbon dioxide emission reduction. Therefore, this paper makes industry upgrading of manufacture and low-carbon technology breakthrough innovation as the study objects, researching the impact of industry upgrading on low-carbon technology breakthrough innovation, and based on the research results this paper proposes some appropriate strategies of industrial upgrading of the manufacturing to enhance the low-carbon technology breakthrough innovation.From both theoretical and empirical these two aspects,this paper studies how industry upgrading affects low-carbon technology breakthrough innovation. First,using the theories deeply analysis the concepts, theories and elements of industry upgrading and low-carbon technology breakthrough innovation. Secondly, on the basis of relevant theories, from three dimensions of industry upgrading this paper respectively analyzes the impact on low-carbon technology breakthrough innovation and its three elements, and puts forward relevant assumptions, then establishes a conceptual model of how industry upgrading impact on low-carbon technological breakthrough innovation. Thirdly, establishing a comprehensive measure index system,and using Cronbach's Alpha coefficients and second order confirmatory factor analysis to measure the reliability and validity of index system scale.Then, on the basis of reliability and validity measurement, using the scores of second order confirmatory factor analysis to calculate the factor scores of industry upgrading and low-carbon technology breakthrough innovation elements, and making this as an intermediate product, empirical study how industry upgrading impact on the low-carbon technology breakthrough innovation through OLS linear regression analysis. After that this paper analyzes the empirical results. Finally, based on the theory and empirical research,with the goal of improving manufacturing enterprises' low-carbon technology breakthrough innovation elements, this paper puts forward some advise about how industry upgrading could improve low-carbon technology breakthrough innovation.
