Whether in China or in Madagascar,whether in the past or in the present,diet,as one of the basic conditions for human survival,has always been a focus of atten tion,and to the development of the society due to its irreplaceable role.At the same tim e,the diet culture is also inseparable to countries,different countries have distinct food c ulture.Indeed,different regions,climate environment,customs and habits of life,make China and Madagascar's food culture different.Diet culture mainly reflects a country's h istory and culture.This article will compare Malagasy and Chinese diet culture,outline and conclude the differences of diet culture between the two countries.In the aim at being able to dee pen the understanding between the two people and to promote cultural exchanges betwe en China and Madagascar.In this paper consists a total of five parts,including introduction and conclusion,th e introduction part,the purpose and the significance of this study,the research status at home and abroad,and in the concluding part China and Madagascar diet culture is summ arized.Body is divided in four parts: the first part explain the concept of diet culture,th e features and functions.The second part is an introduction of Madagascar and its influe ncing factors and the Chinese food culture.The third part outlines the main reasons of d ifferences in diet in Madagascar.
