Ultrasonic testing is the main means of detection in the field of nondestructive testing.With the rapid development of science and technology,"ultrasonic automatic testing technology" has become the inevitable trend of the development of ultrasonic testing technology.Ultrasonic automatic testing technology has been applied in the key parts of aerospace,nuclear power and high-speed rail and other areas,but is less applied in the detection of the ordinary parts.R & D testing equipment costs are high,the development cycle is long,poor common and some other issues,is the primary factors to limit the ultrasonic automatic detection technology to promote and apply.Therefore,in view of this situation,the concept of "lathe ultrasonic inspection accessories" is proposed.It is installed on the lathe by lathe interface,and the automatic detection of the workpiece is done with the lathe accessories instead of the special testing equipments,thus reducing the product development cost and shortening the development cycle,making it more universal.This paper has clarified the concept and characteristics of “lathe ultrasonic inspection accessories”,and analyzed the composition of the entire accessories,and divided the accessories by modular design,and builded lathe ultrasonic inspection accessories product platform based on the concept of product family.And the ultrasonic coupling module,the control system module and the host computer module are analyzed and demonstrated in detail.Firstly,the concept of “the thin film coupling method” and “the water column overflow method” has been put forward through the study of the coupling technology in the ultrasonic inspection accessories.The coupling structure has been modularized and parametricized and the optimal parameters of the coupling structure have been obtained by simulation.And complete manufacturing of the corresponding parts.The experiments on the lathe,show that “the thin film coupling method” for small curvature of the object be seized,“the water column overflow method” for large curvature of the object be seized.Secondly,through the comparison of the common control system in the industry,the single chip microcomputer has been selected as the control carrier,and the control task of the single chip computer has been analyzed,as so as to complete the hardware and software design of the lathe ultrasonic inspection accessories control system.Experiments on the lathe were carried out,which show that the synergetic control of the single-chip controller and the lathe CNC system can achieve better results.Finally,according to whether or not the Accessories movement is programmed with the lathe movement,the recognition and extraction of the NC code is divided into two methods:“the time synchronization method” and “the direct extraction method”.Through the analysis of the NC code composition format and the common contours of the machining parts,the algorithm design of NC code extractor and the module extraction of NC code are completed,and the feasibility of the scheme is verified by a exam+ple.
