The Chinese and Foreign Travel notes of 13th century are the significant written texts about Mongolia. At present, schools have done a lot of researches fully on all-perspective travel cultures, but it is not a systematic that people research on Mongolian diet customs. This paper is mainly based on the Mongolian diet custom of various kinds of Chinese & Foreign Travel notes, the historical records firstly based on ?The Secret History of Mongolia?, and the field data to present the appearance on the Mongolian diet custom in thirteenth century.This Paper consists of brief introduction, the first chapter, the second chapter, the third chapter, the fourth chapter, summary, bibliography and appendix.The brief introduction includes basis of dissertation, research status, research methods and notes.The first chapter researches the species of white food, production process, customs and other aspects of food in "Travel literature".The second chapter researches the species of red food, production process, customs, and other aspects of "Travel literature".The third chapter researches the species of purple food, production process, customs and other aspects of food in "travel literature".The fourth chapter researches the species of beverage, production process, customs and other aspects of food in "travel literature".Conclusion, summarize the whole context, explain the achievement and deficient in the process of writing paper.Appendix, "Travel literature "explanation table, the statistic table of diet category name and the relevant graphic data cited in the paper.
