As we all know that oranges have very high nutritional value, whose pulp are so sweet and juicy that you can directly eat and drink the juice. Aimed at orange juice after the market analysis, a kind of new business model that oranges are freshly squeezed and then sold has been put forward, that is, developing a freshly squeezed orange juice vending machine. It is necessary to develop a new and small automatic Juicer which can make come true that oranges peel and juice easily and that is convenient to clean and has high efficiency, because there exist many problems with bulky, low automatic level in the fruit juicers. According to the existing problems and difficulties needed to be conquered, a series of research about the automatic orange juicer were carried out in the paper, and the main achievements were obtained as follows;(1) According to the force condition of cutting the orange in half and juicing in theory, the paper successfully drawed the factors influencing the force of cutting the orange in half and juicing and measured the magnitude of force by experiments.(2) Aimed at the features of appearance, multiple means of targeting had been analyzed and compared, and the spherical grooves tracking ways were proposed,which were transformed from the kind of V and that could locate against different oranges in size. A mathematical model had been established, and the factors influencing the positioning errors were obtained by calculating.(3) The overall scheme of the automatical juicer had been designed according to the measured parameters, and then the structural design about the automatical juicer was successfully accomplished.(4) The finite element analysis for the key parts has been finished with the Ansys Workbench,and its reliability was verified. Based on Solidworks2014, the design of the virtual prototype about the automatic juicer had been accomplished, and then the motion simulation for the model was done and the feasibility of the stucture was testified. The paper took the dynamics simulation on the delivery mechanism for the juicer by Adams, which verified the stability of design on the feeding system.(5) The principle prototype had been made, then the tests for the transporters,half-cutting apparatus, juicing equipment, and slagging device were independently made and the test for the whole jucier was successfully took. Testing the performanceof the whole automatical juicer and analyzing the experimental data had been accomplished, which verified the reliability, feasibility and reasonability of the design.(6) The automatical juicer had been installed in the freshly squeezed orange juice vending machine and then tested, which was coordinated with other parts. The performance could be satisfactory in all aspects after the half-year monitoring.
