Giant panda(Ailuropoda melanoleuca)is a rare national treasure of our country,a rare natural heritage of mankind,and also the flagship species of the global biological environment protection.Wolong nature reserve is an important habitat of giant panda,giant panda species within the area of the giant panda species in China accounted for 60%,the number of pandas accounted for 10%.of the giant panda's survival,is closely related to reproduction and habitat quality,the protection of giant panda habitat is essential to protect the giant panda.In recent years due to deforestation,overgrazing,road construction etc.the giant panda habitat gradually reduced,habitat quality decreased obviously,so the research on reserves to protect the giant panda habitat quality is more important,it can help people to better protect the giant panda,is also advantageous in the implementation of giant panda nature reserve construction work.This paper comes from the project of international cooperation(Grant No.S2013GR0477)and digital earth China Academy(2013LDE006)Key Laboratory fund project "Wolong Panda Nature Reserve,natural disasters and heritage habitat evaluation".In this paper,RapidEye,SPOT-5 and Landsat are used as the data sources,GIS technology as the support,combined with the actual situation of Wolong nature reserve,established 8 factors affecting the giant panda habitat.The main research works are as follows:(1)Using ArcGIS10.0 and ENVI5.1 software platform,established the spatial database of Wolong nature reserve,including the Wolong nature reserve administrative boundary,water,forest types in Wolong area,the distribution of staple food bamboo of giant panda in Wolong area footprint distribution data,realize data statistics and query functions.(2)The use of support vector machine(SVM)method for the classification of forest types in Wolong district.By using GIS and SVM method,to obtain forest type distribution thematic maps of Wolong District,forest classification for coniferous forest,deciduous broad-leaved forest and evergreen and deciduous broad-leaved mixed forest in three categories.(3)Study on the habitat suitability assessment of giant panda in Wolong nature reserve.A large number of research results and data were consulted,and the influencing factors index system of giant panda habitat in Wolong Nature Reserve was constructed.The altitude,slope,slope,rivers,forests,bamboo distribution,road and building 8 influence factors,weighting each factor using AHP to determine the value and the various factors and the correlation degree of habitat quality.(4)Analysis of the evaluation and verification of suitable habitat for giant panda nature reserves in Wolong district.According to the distribution of giant panda footprint,analyzed 8 single factor and the giant panda habitat suitability,analysis of the relationship between multi factor and the giant panda habitat suitability.According to the above research contents,this paper gets the following results:(1)The support vector machine(SVM)method for the classification of forest types in Wolong area,to obtain the classification results: coniferous forest area is the largest,reaching 981.87 square kilometers,accounting for 48.27% of the total area;evergreen,deciduous broad-leaved forest,an area of 200.22 square kilometers,accounting for 9.84% of the total area;deciduous broad-leaved forest area of only 79.89 square kilometers,the minimum.The total area of 3.93%.The total forest area accounts for more than half of the total area of Wolong,which provides a good habitat for giant pandas.(2)Through the single factor study found that suitable slope,slope,forest type,bamboo,road,building suitable for larger areas,are more than 900 square kilometers.Calculated by the analytic hierarchy process: bamboo of giant panda habitat and maximum correlation,weight value is 0.3959;followed by the rivers and forest types,weight value 0.1863,0.132 respectively;and the correlation of giant panda habitat is the smallest slope factor.Considering all factors,complete the comprehensive evaluation of the suitability of the study area analysis,and expounds the characteristics and suitability of habitat quality on the distribution area of each habitat unit of giant panda,one of the most suitable area: 293.788 square kilometers,accounting for 14.44% of the total area,the suitable area is 497.3692 square kilometers,accounting for 24.45% of the total area;second suitable area: 409.4264 square kilometers,accounting for 20.13% of the total area,not Suitable area: 833.5364 square kilometers,accounting for 40.98%.of the total area shows that the giant panda in the area of suitable habitat area of 791.1572 square kilometers,accounting for 38.89% of the total area,most suitable for the northeast region in the Wolong area of the East and Southeast.(3)Obtained by the giant panda and footprint distribution statistics: stacking,elevation,staple food bamboo,forest type,road,high frequency building suitable panda regions,were more than 70%.In the multi-factor panda habitat suitability evaluation,85.18% of the giant pandas appear within the suitable habitat of the study area.Therefore,the classification of suitability factors is scientific and reasonable,and it has practical significance in establishing and restoring the protected areas.Promote use.
