Fine Evaluation Of Climatic Comfort In Recent 34 Years In Jiangsu Province

Jiangsu Province is in the subtropical to warm temperate transition zone, and the climate characteristics has obvious differences between north and south. In addition,with the rapid economic development,the city is gradually warming and its climate change has brought important impact to people's lives. This paper focuses on the study of the temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of climate comfort in Jiangsu Province and fine evaluation on the number of uncomfortable days.which will provide reference value on regional population development, energy consumption regulation and tourism planning.The research mainly includes introducing the UTCI model and testing the feasibility and reference value of the model; analyzing the variation trend of the annual average UTCI value in Jiangsu Province ; evaluating spatial characteristics of monthly comfort index in Jiangsu Province by ArcGIS and analyzing the difference of suitable period in different areas of Jiangsu; fine evaluation on the number of uncomfortable days.The main conclusions include:(1) The average UTCI index of Jiangsu Province in resent 34 years are16?20?and increases significantly at the rate of 0.52 ? / 10a. 1980-1990s is the the coldest years of Jiangsu Provinc, the body temerture shous the warming trend gradually.The picture of spatial distribution of monthly UTCI index shows that the UTCI index rises firstly and then drops. From the season to see, UTCI index of summer is the highest, comfort index of winter is the lowest .Except the summer, other three seasons increase respectively at the of 0.83? / 10a, 0.48? / 10a, 0.59? / 10a. The UTCI index in southern Jiangsu are higher than the other two areas, but its increasing rate is smallest.(2) The comfort index of Jiangsu Provinc has a clear difference of spatial distribution and shows the meridional changes increasing from the coastal to inland.In addition, difference between north and south in spring and summer is smaller than Autumn and winter. The longest period of comfort is in Nantong area for 7 months.The comfort period is the widest range of six months, covering 45 sites. The shortest comfort period is mainly in the southern Jiangsu for 5 months,such as Nanjing, Changzhou,Wuxi. The high temperature uncomfortable period of Jiangsu Province starts from June and ends in September. Cold uncomfortable period generally starts from December and ends in Marh of coming year.(3) Climitic comfort zoning shows that the best comfortable climate regions are mainly located in the southern part of Jiangsu; climate comfort zone is mainly distributed in the central part of Jiangsu and Jianghuai; while the northern part of Huaibei is the uncomfortable area; the coastal city of north-eastern Huaibei is the most uncomfortable areas in terms climate.(4) The number of heat stress days increases gradually in Jiangsu Province, and the number of micro - cold stress days decreases significantly, and its change rate is much higher than that of heat stress days increases. The number of heat stress shows the change of the meridional characteristics from coastal to inland.The frequency of micro - cold stress is higher in January and February, and the frequency of micro -heat stress is higher in July and August.
