Study On The Development Of Modern Yunnan Meteorological Station

This thesis focuses on the meteorological stations and local meteorological outstanding figures which play an important role in the history of Yunnan meteorological modernization. Based on the meteorological station,this thesis divides the history of Yunnan meteorological stations into three stages: the start-up period, the initial developing period and the leaping period. The are, respectively,the Late Qing Dynasty.Beiyang Government and National Government. The three stages reflect the process of Yunnan meteorological modernization generally.Besides, this paper takes the background, the process of the establishment, the function and development of stations as target. Using the combination of documents,profile and on-the-spot investigation, this thesis sorts and summarizes the organizations in the Yunnan meteorological modernization, such as the Yunnan customs weather station, the private Yide meteorological station, Kunming substitute meteorological station, Yunnan Provincial Kunming Meteorological Observatory and the Southwest meteorological network, and deeply studies Chen Yide’s life and its contribution, a famous meteorological figure of Yunnan.By the exploration and summary of the Yunnan meteorological station modernization,we can find that the introduction of Western science and technology opened the prelude to the construction of Yunnan meteorological station. The necessity of meteorological industry is the foundation of building the Yunnan meteorological station. The concern and investment of government department is the necessary guarantee for the construction of Yunnan meteorological station.The cause of education influences the development of building the Yunnan meteorological station. National pride is the internal driving force of Yunnan meteorological modernization, and outstanding character is the guider of building the Yunnan meteorological station. The meteorological workers is the core of building the Yunnan meteorological station.The research shows that the summary and absorption of the experiences and lessons in the process of modernization are of great significance to explore and promote the modernization of meteorological industry through the study of the local meteorological modernization.In the development of meteorological industry,it is the basis for the sustainable development of meteorological industry to improve the level of economic development, to develop science and technology, and to improve the application of science and technology in meteorology.Strengthening the development of education and carrying forward the national spirit is an important way to promote the development of meteorological industry.Government departments need to attach great importance to the development of meteorological industry.
