The automatic weather station is able to perform weather observation and data transmission. The meteorological data is an important basis of the meteorological analysis. The temperature sensor is usually installed in the thermometer screens of automatic weather station. Thermometer screens can be affected by solar radiation, which increases the temperature of screen blades, compromises the accuracy of temperature measurement, and causes the radiation error can reach 0.8 K or even higher, it is difficult to meet the climate change monitoring required accuracy requirements of lOmk. In order to improve the accuracy of atmospheric temperature measurement, a new automatic weather station software compatible with Win8 is designed in this paper, which has the function of correcting the error of solar radiation.Firstly, a logging system of the automatic weather station is designed in this paper. The system mainly includes meteorological sensors, a main controller, a communication module and power supply. The collector system is connected with the upper computer software system of the automatic weather station through a serial port or a network port communication mode.A computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method is used here to obtain the temperature field distribution in the thermometer screens, providing the scientific basis for the design of the temperature sensor in the thermometer screens. A measurement platform has been constructed, in which a forced ventilation temperature sensor is used as a reference. The radiation errors are measured at various radiation intensities and wind speeds. An L-M (Levenberg-Marquardt) algorithm is used to obtain a certain commonality equation of radiation error correction, which can realize the real-time radiation error correction of the environmental parameters such as wind speed, radiation intensity and so on.The automatic weather station upper computer software is developed by using C# and Microsoft Visual Studio 2013. The method of object oriented programming is used in the software development process. Using ADO.NET data access technology, socket technology, GDI+ technology and the three tier architecture model are implemented in the software development. In addition to the functions of data logging, display and storage, the correction equation is integrated in the upper computer software to realize real-time correction of the radiation error. The experimental results indicate that, within a certain range of radiation intensity and wind speed, the average radiation error is reduced to 0.016 K, and the root mean square error is 0.018K. The temperature observation accuracy of automatic weather station has been significantly improved.
