Qianan iron ore is located in the northeast of Hebei province, Qianan and Luan counties are in the belt which is one of four supergiant iron metallogenic belt in China.Qian-an iron ore is abundant which has proven reserves about 5 billion tons, and which is famous for opencast working because of buried shallow, the iron ore is mainly supplied for steelworks which are in Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan. As time gone,the ore has already been mining more than half a century, and shallow ore has been exhausted. In this background,it is Urgent to look for succeed resources and extend the mine life. However, old mine geological prospecting work have a lot of interferences, for example: surface damage, industrial electricity etc. so, it can't solve the deep mineral exploration to apply the traditional magnetic method.Qianan iron ore has accumulated a lot of geological and geophysical data in previous exploration. Therefore,in order to remedy drawback which are difficult to carry out the work, it is necessary to make good use of previous data. So at the beginning of exploration work, we collect geological data, aeromagnetic data which are from different periods, geomagnetic data for scale of 1:2000, and physical property parameter, for example, Magnetic susceptibility, density, resistivity etc. In the process of work, compare and analysis the aeromagnetic anomalies,delineate prospective magnetic anomaly area. And then processing the previous geomagnetic data by upward continuation and Wavelet Transform to study the range of deep ore body. Finally, enclosed Dashihe and Songjiang as operating range. In these work range, we carried out some geophysical methods such as gravity,magnetic,electromagnetic, and integrated interpretation the deep information, referenced geological model, and calculated depth and reserve scale of ore body. In the end,preliminarily we estimated the resources reserves through verifying by drilling three component magnetic, and geological information of two ore districts. From two typical examples in this paper, we sums up some strategy for discovering and predicting deep ore resource in Qianan. And In the process of work, also we get some experience to deal with the geophysical interference on old mining areas. Through forecasting and prospecting deep resource, it could effectively obtain the information for deep and around old mining area by collecting sufficient geological and geophysical data, and advanced processing method. Except these two mine areas,there are a lot of aeromagnetic anomaly with prospecting potentiality. It will be new economic energy if exiting large and thick ore body under those area in Qianan.
