In recent years,with the successful completion of the exploration work of the giant Xiarihamu magmatic Cu-Ni sulfide deposit and it has become the first super-large magmatic Cu-Ni sulfide deposit discovered the East Kunlun area.Based on the project entitled “Anomaly Exploration of No.HS26 in the Xiarihamu Copper-Nickel deposit in the Golmud City,Qinghai Province”and“General investigation of No.HS26 in the Xiarihamu Copper-Nickel deposit in the Golmud City,Qinghai Province” jointly implemented by the Qinghai Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources and the Qinghai Yellow River Mining Co.,Ltd.,We carried out field work and research work,and then summarized the prospecting information of Geological,geophysical and geochemical characteristics of No.?,?,?,? basic-ultrabasic complex.Through the systematic catalog of the No.05 drilling longitudinal cross-section,we determined the magma intrusion period and summarized the distribution characteristics of the lithofacies and ore bodies.we systematically summarized the geological,geochemical,geophysical prospecting indicators of the Xiarihamu Cu-Ni deposit.Finally,we established the comprehensive application model.The deep fault provides the necessary channel for the copper-nickel deposit.The Late Silurian-Early Devonian mafic-ultramafic rocks in the East Kunlun area are more likely to form the Cu-Ni deposit.Peacock petrochemical and jarosite are important clues for the exploration of the copper-nickel ore.The Cu-Ni deposit was more likely existed in the differentiated mafic-ultramafic complex with dunite ? pyroxene peridotite ? pyroxenite.The complex with a low FeO and low CaO content of olivine and pyroxene are more favorable for mineralization.The ore-bearing lithofacies show the enhanced magnetic properties,an increase of the polarizability,and a decrease of the electrical resistivityresistivity.The controllable source audio-magnetotelluric(CSAMT)can constrain the deep lithofacies,and the abnormal magnetic survey in the well could show the location of the ore in the drill core.
