This research aims at discussing the current situation and influential factors of mathematics majors'mathematics learning adaptability, and exploring the methods of producing good adjustment to university mathematics learning.From the perspective of first-year students majoring in mathematics, this paper studies their mathematics learning and analyzes the situation and influential factors of their learning adaptability after they start university in a more comprehensive and complete way. This study also explores effective methods to help undergraduate freshmen to adjust to mathematics learning. With questionnaire tests, this research investigates the mathematics learning of undergraduate freshmen, analyzes the difference of mathematics learning adaptability of mathematics majors in gender, educational background, educational foundation and psychology health level. Results indicate that undergraduate freshmen majoring in mathematics generally have weak adaptability in mathematics learning. The factors to which difficulties in adjusting to mathematics learning have been attributed are multifaceted. Therefore, through the observation of mathematics lessons, this article tries to summarize the characteristics of university mathematics teaching from the angles of teaching behaviors, teaching methods, topics introductions, knowledge explanations, dialogues between teachers and students and mathematics skills training. From the points of quantity and quality, this study also analyzes the main features of mathematics content-numerous and difficult. Finally, based on the results of empirical research and analysis, this paper tries to propose corresponding measures to improve the quality of freshmen's adaptation to mathematics learning.
