This dissertation deals with taxonomic and faunistic studies on the spiders of Baishi Mountain,Hebei Province,also refers to the diversity and distribution pattern.The entire work is divided into two parts as follows:I.Based on the data of identifying spider specimens from field investigation and the previous literatures,32 families,110 genera and 238 species are reported.The diagnoses of each family and genus are given.The citations and information of the examined materials are provided for each genus and species.New taxa are described in detail.2 new spicies are described:Clubiona hooda sp.nov.,Cicurina baishishan sp.nov..The female of Lepthyphantes cultellifer Schenkel,1936 is described for the first time.II.The faunistic characters of 238 species from Baishi Mountain are discussed systematically.The results are shown as follows:1)Faunl components of Baishi Mountain mainly is Palearctic species in world zoo-geographical realm;the next is Palearctic plus Oriental species,blend feature of two realms is obvious;the endemic species possesses 0.84%;the Cosmopolite component,Neotropical component and Australasian component are very low.2)In China zoo-geographical regions,North China region is the main body,secondly is Northeast Region,Central China Region,Inner Mongolia-Xinjiang Region,Southwest China Region,South China Region and the Qinghai Tibet Region.3)The comparability of Baishi Mountain and five Mountains or natural reserves in China,and using Sorenson index shows: it most similar to Wuling Mountain(Cs = 0.5305)in Hebei Province.Thus indicate fauna has a direct adaptation with geographical environment.
