Through studing the distribution of metal mineral resources in this region of Newfoundland, and the collection of geological, geophysical, geochemical exploration, remote sensing and other information, the article studied copper nickel ore of basic ultrabasic rock type, uranium ore and sedimentary metamorphic iron ore concentration area. And the research area divided the Canadian Shield, Applachian orogenic belt and Gondwana land for the three metallogenic region (belt), first-order tectonic unit (province), grade II named after the sub-province, grade, III named after metallogenic belt. Part was divided into grade IV (sub metallogenic belt), a handful of area was divided into grade V (mineralization). Identify basic geological background of these metallogenic belts, summarize the metallogenic regularities,-delineate mineralization area and evaluate the resource potential. According to the study in this paper, it could delineate the dominant mineral prospecting in the region:Humber sub metallogenic province in the Deer Lake area (U); Hermitage Flexure area (U) of Dunnage sub metallogenic province; Dunnage sub metallogenic province Buchans area (Cu); Humber sub metallogenic province Great North Peninsula (Ni-Cu-Co metallogenic belt). It provided scientific basis for the next deployment in this region.
