Effect Of Farmers’ Land Awareness Differentiation On Cultivated Land Utilization Efficiency And Protection Intensity

Cultivated land is the material basis for human survival and development, with the rapid development of industrialization and urbanization, the contradiction between people and land is growing, China’s cultivated land resources appeared sustained reduction in the number, quality and decreased, the ecological environment destruction and so on a series of problems constantly being, strengthen the protection of cultivated land resources is particularly important. In China, farmers are the main body of land use, they have a direct impact on the efficiency of land use and the effect of cultivated land protection. Therefore, it is of great significance to analyze the farmers’ cultivated land use and protection behavior from the perspective of land awareness, and to guide the rational use and protection of cultivated land. To explore the differentiation of farmers’ land consciousness theory system and the effects of cultivated land use efficiency and strength to protect, in this study combs the domestic and foreign related literatures based, defines the farmers’ land consciousness differentiation concept, to construct the theoretical system of differentiation of farmers’ land consciousness, the design table and carries on the verification and measurement. Then taking the farmland use and protection of the farmers as the object, using the DEA model to measure the efficiency of the use of farmland and using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to quantify the intensity of farmland protection. Finally, from the perspect ive of differentiation of farmers’ land consciousness of using regression analysis and structural equation model of qualitative and quantitative analysis of the differentiation of farmers’ land consciousness of cultivated land use efficiency of cultivated land protection and strength, and accordingly proposed policy recommendations. Conclusions are as follows:(1) In related literatures and combined on the basis of the actual situation, in this study, the definition of farmers’ Land Consciousness: farmers in land use in the process of mental activity, is the sum of farmers’ cognition about the land and its policy, emotion and behavior tendency and psychological factors. The farmers’ land consciousness differentiation is defined as: farmers towards land and its policy of cognition, emotion and behavior tendency of comprehensive psychological factors changes, the farmers’ land consciousness in the process of economic and social development in rural areas from the original single type differentiation for various types.In addition, by means of principal component analysis extracted common factor for the differentiation of farmers’ land consciousness for land dependent consciousness, land security awareness, awareness of land burden, land rich five types of awareness, awareness of land property rights, and through the reliability and validity, demonstrates the theoretical significance.(2) Farmers’ land consciousness differentiation has a significant impact on land use efficiency, to rely on land utilization efficiency of arable land farmers awareness of the highest efficiency among farmers accounted for 31.25% of these farmers for the pure farmers on the land intensive and meticulous farming input-output rate; secondly, to land protection consciousness of farmers, the efficient farmers accounted for 23.63%. Although these farmers in agricultural investment is less, but they regard land for protection of life, also pay attention to improve crop yields; to land rich consciousness and awareness of land property rights of farmers in the low efficiency of the proportion of more than 50%, they either to get rich on the scale of farmland, or pay attention to the value of land is not intensive and meticulous farming. To improve the quality of cultivated land and production efficiency; land holding farmers burden consciousness more educated high of young people, some of them even without Their land but to help parents to till and even rarely, they are perennial in work resulting in abandoned arable land more, is not in the lower yield and efficiency, so their efficient farmers accounts for only 2.44%, low efficiency of farmers accounted for 90.23%.(3) Through regression analysis that farmers land dependent consciousness and farmers land rich consciousness and farmers cultivated land use efficiency presents a positive correlation, the farmers land dependent consciousness and farmers land rich consciousness for each one unit increase in, land use efficiency were increased 0.8961 and 0.517 units; and farmers land burden consciousness and cultivated land use efficiency was negatively correlated, each one unit increase in the burden of awareness of farmers land, land use efficiency reduce 0.679 units. But farmers’ awareness of land security and land property rights awareness and the use of land use efficiency is not significantly related.(4) The use of structural equation model to analyze the farmers’ land consciousness differentiation on the influence degree of the farmers land protection path to land type dependent consciousness income source only agriculture of cultivated land intensive and meticulous farming, effective protection of the land quantity, quality, and produce positive external benefits to society; on the land security awareness type the main source of income of farmers is non agriculture, while the protection of the land but not on land reasonable investment, and creates a negative externality benefits to society; a land rich awareness of the types of farmers see the value of the new land, land is no longer the simple production of adequate food and clothing but rich, positive the influence on cultivated land quality, quantity and external benefits. To land the burden of consciousness types and land property right consciousness type of farmers in the source of income depends entirely on the non agriculture, itself is no longer directly manage the land, but the possession of land without business "not as" behavior to influence the quantity and quality of cultivated land and to society produced negative external benefit.(5) Through the analysis we can know, farmers’ land consciousness farmers cultivated land use and protection in the process played an important leading and driving role in, different farmers’ land consciousness type farmland using behavior and the efficiency and the behavior of cultivated land protection and the effect is different. Based on this, it is recommended in perfecting related laws and regulations, land system and policy based, respect and consolidate the farmers in the cultivated land use and protection in the dominant position of the surrounding farmers, cultivate more reasonable of farmers’ land consciousness, in order to guide the farmers in the rational allocation of resources, strengthening the protection of cultivated land resources and impr ove the production efficiency of cultivated land, and provide a theoretical basis for the promotion of the sustainable development of rural society and economy.
