A Study Into The Relationship Between Models Of Peasant Households' Utilization Of The Cultivated Land And The Cultivated Land Protection

With the fast development of the national economy and the full-scale promotion of industrialization and urbanization processes, the speed of non-agriculturalization of arable land increases as well. In order to protect the cultivated land, it is not enough just to emphasize its quantity. Cultivated land productivity protection, which closely relates to the quality of the cultivated land, is crucial to fulfill the goal. Peasant households'behavior directly determines the realization of cultivated land productivity protection. On the basis of consistent implementation of the household contract responsibility system and improvement on the cultivated land protection system, optimizing the peasant households'interests'distribution mechanism and instructing peasants how to cultivate land scientifically will definitely make great contribution to increasing the farmland utilization efficiency and actualizing the sustainable utilization of the cultivated land resources.This thesis first theoretically defines the role of peasant households in the cultivated land protection and illuminates the willingness difference among peasant households with different expected returns by analyzing the relevant study trend both home and abroad and summarizing the recent research findings about the households'behavior theory. And then it reports an empirical research on income levels of peasants,and utilization of the cultivated land resources in Yining, a representative city in Xinjiang Province. Based on the data derived from the questionnaire papers about the utilization of cultivated land, the research attempts to comprehensively analyze the models of peasants'utilization of the land and explore their impact on the cultivated land protection. At the end of this thesis, from peasant households'perspective, problems of current cultivated land protection are summarized and some advice and measures are provided as well in the hope that all the information has considerable reference value in promoting improvement in policies of cultivated land protection and standardization of peasant households'behavior in Xinjiang Province.
